Wedding Destinations in Italy

From lakeside villas to hilltop vineyards, sun-drenched islands and the Eternal City — the settings for your Italian celebration.

A studio without borders

One studio, the whole of Italy

Angela and the Style a Wedding team plan and design intimate, refined destination weddings across Italy’s most beautiful regions — from the lakes of the north to the islands of the south. Wherever you dream of marrying, we bring the same eye for detail, the same trusted network of venues and artisans, and the same calm, personal guidance, from the first idea to the final toast.

We work almost entirely with international couples, so every step — venue selection, the legal or symbolic ceremony, travel and logistics for your guests — is handled with clarity and care, in your language.

Why Italy

A backdrop like nowhere else

Timeless settings

Renaissance villas, private islands and centuries-old estates that need little embellishment.

Food & wine

World-class cuisine and cellars, from Tuscan reds to Sicilian whites, at the heart of every celebration.

Effortless for guests

Well-connected regions, mild seasons and a warmth of welcome that turns a wedding into a holiday.

When to marry

The best time for an Italian wedding

Spring

April – June

Gardens in bloom, mild days and long golden evenings. The most requested season on the lakes and in Tuscany — the finest villas book a year or more ahead.

Summer

July – August

Warm, glamorous and made for the coast and islands. Sicily and the sea come into their own, while inland we plan gracefully around the midday heat.

Autumn

September – October

Harvest light, vineyard colour and softer temperatures. A favourite for Tuscany and Rome, with a relaxed, end-of-season feel.

A wedding isn’t styled. It’s felt.

Good to know

Planning a wedding in Italy

Which part of Italy is best for a wedding?

It depends on the feeling you’re after: the lakes (Como, Garda) for grandeur and romance, Tuscany for rolling countryside and wine, Sicily for sea and character, Rome for history and glamour. We help you match the setting to your vision, guest count and season.

Can foreign couples legally get married in Italy?

Yes. International couples can hold a legally binding civil ceremony in Italy, or marry legally at home and celebrate with a symbolic ceremony anywhere — a terrace, a garden or by the water. We guide you through the paperwork and timing for each region.

How much does a wedding in Italy cost?

Budgets vary with region, guest count, venue and season. As a guide, our full-service celebrations typically start from around €60,000–€70,000, and we provide a transparent, itemised estimate after our first conversation — with no surprises.

How far in advance should we book?

For peak months (May–September) we recommend 12–18 months, especially for the most sought-after villas. Smaller or off-season celebrations can often come together more quickly.

How many guests can these venues host?

From intimate elopements of two to celebrations of 150 and beyond. Every region offers venues across that range, and we shortlist the ones that suit your numbers and style.

Do we need a local wedding planner in Italy?

For a destination wedding, a planner based in Italy is invaluable: we know the venues personally, speak the language, manage the legal paperwork and are on the ground before and during your day. It removes the stress and, very often, saves money through the right suppliers.

Do you plan the whole wedding or only parts of it?

Both. We offer full planning and design — from the first mood board to the last dance — as well as lighter coordination for couples who have already begun.
