Lake Como Wedding Planner

Bespoke celebrations on Italy’s most cinematic lake

Lake Como

A wedding on Lake Como, planned with an architect’s eye

Few places in the world hold a celebration the way Lake Como does. Palazzo terraces above still water, cypress avenues, and light that turns amber at dinner — a setting that asks little of decoration and gives everything to atmosphere.

Style a Wedding designs and plans destination weddings on Lake Como for couples travelling from across the world. Every celebration is bespoke: venue and vision, guest experience, ceremony — legal or symbolic — and the hundred quiet details that reveal themselves only on the day. We accept a limited number of weddings each year, so that yours has our full attention.

Why Lake Como

The most romantic address in Italy

Legendary villas

Villa del Balbianello, Villa Erba, Villa Balbiano — private estates that open to only a handful of weddings each season. We hold the relationships that get you through the gates.

Ceremonies on the water

Symbolic vows on a lakefront loggia, a legal civil rite in a historic town hall, boat arrivals at golden hour. We shape the ceremony around your story, not a template.

Effortless for guests

Milan and its airports are barely an hour away. We manage transfers, boats, welcome dinners and stays — so travelling to Como feels like a gift, not a logistics puzzle.

Planning a Lake Como wedding

Can foreign couples legally get married on Lake Como?

Yes. Foreign couples can hold a legally binding civil ceremony in a Lake Como town hall or licensed venue, with all the documents prepared for you. Many couples instead choose a symbolic ceremony at their villa — free of any location or language restriction — and complete the legal formalities at home. We guide you through whichever route suits you.

How much does a wedding on Lake Como cost?

Lake Como is a luxury destination, and budgets vary widely with guest count, venue and season. As a guide, our couples typically invest from around €80,000 upwards for a full-service celebration. After our first conversation we prepare a transparent, itemised estimate — no surprises.

What is the difference between a symbolic and a legal ceremony?

A legal (civil) ceremony is registered with the Italian state and requires specific documents and a licensed setting. A symbolic ceremony has no legal standing — held anywhere, in any language, by anyone you choose. Most international couples marry legally at home and celebrate symbolically on the lake.

When is the best time of year to marry on Lake Como?

Late April to early October is the season. May, June and September offer warm light and long evenings; July and August are lush but busier. We plan up to 18–24 months ahead to secure the best villas and dates.
